The Office of Sponsored Projects (OSP) is under the leadership of the Executive Director of Sponsored Projects and serves as the University’s Authorized Organizational Representative (AOR). The Executive Director reports to the Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs and is responsible for all pre-award activities up to grant application submission, research administration policy, research-related contracts, and research compliance requirements for externally funded projects. In collaboration with the Grants Management Office (GMO) within the campus Finance department, OSP ensures professional management of externally funded projects throughout their life cycle. OSP also works collaboratively with all academic and administrative units at LIU to promote an administrative infrastructure supportive of sponsored projects, research, and development at a local, national and global scale.
