Welcoming all students to register for our Spring 2021 semester!
Classes for the Spring 2021 semester will be held online. All online classes are synchronous and interactive.
The ESL program at LIU offers students the opportunity to improve their English in all skill areas: Conversation & Listening, Reading & Vocabulary, Grammar, and Writing.
Our experienced and professional instructors will help you focus on the areas of English that you need to improve.
You will be able to further practice your skills in our Computer Laboratory (open 5 days a week for ESL students), free tutorials, free conversation workshops, computer courses, study room, library, and weekend trips!
Our Spring 2021 semester runs from January 11 - April 22, 2021, for a total of 14 weeks.
Classes are taught four hours each day, Monday to Thursday, with schedules either in the mornings (9am-1pm), afternoons (1:30pm-5:30pm), or evenings (6pm-10pm).
We also offer Full-Time and Part-Time TOEFL and IELTS Preparation courses as well as elective classes in Computer Literacy; Pronunciation Practice; Job Preparation; Phrasal Verbs; Academic Vocabulary; and Citizenship Preparation. We offer 9 levels of English, from Beginner to Advanced to University Success.
Half-Semester (7 weeks) and Quarter-Semester (4 weeks) programs, and English Courses for Au Pairs also available. Please contact the English Language Institute for course dates.
