The Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders at LIU Post is dedicated to the advancement of the diagnosis and treatment of speech, language and hearing problems. The department offers a comprehensive bachelor’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology.The program prepares students in the prerequisites needed to pursue a career helping people overcome communication difficulties that may affect their social, school and job related happiness and success.

The Master’s Program in speech-language pathology prepares students to be eligible for New York State licensure, ASHA certification and New York State Teacher of Students with Speech and Language Disabilities certification. The program encourages high academic, clinical and ethical standards focused on individual mentoring, client/family centered care, strong foundational knowledge, evidenced – based practice and research.
